David A. Jones obituary: Huber Heights veteran and mechanic, 74, remembered for service and community

Huber Heights has lost a familiar face. David A. Jones, 74, died Sept. 6, 2025, surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer. An Army veteran, longtime industrial equipment mechanic at Wright-Patterson AFB, and youth soccer coach, Jones was known as “Doc” at Jordan Motorworks and the neighbor who always showed up to help. He kept working and mowing lawns until weeks before his death.
